Pamela Kay Dunn was born to Donald and Betty Tiller on July 29, 1945, in Ft. Morgan CO, the oldest of five children. She grew up in Garden Grove, CA and graduated from Santigo high school in June 1963. She was offered a scholarship to USC to play Saxophone in their marching band. While she declined the scholarship in order to work, Pam’s love of music remained throughout her life.
On May 16th, 1966, Pam married her childhood sweetheart, Terry Dunn, in Ft. Sill, OK who immediately deployed to Germany for the Vietnam War. Upon his return, they had two children, Natalie and Nathan, while living in Garden Grove. Pam started her banking career as a Teller, but worked her way up the ranks. She became an Executive Vice President at Wells Fargo bank and retired after 47 years of service. Her speciality was mergers and acquisitions and she played a leading role in the Wells’ mergers with First Interstate, Wachovia, and Norwest.
Pam was a follower of Jesus Christ and was active serving Him most of her life through hosting, Bible studies, and local service projects. For example, she and Terry were instrumental in launching Open Arms, a no cost daycare, in Mexico. They also established an endowment for the Conservatory of Music at a Christian University. In her retirement years, Pam enjoyed staying connected with family, mentoring young women at church, and serving others in her community.
Pam is survived by her husband Terry; her siblings Debbie, Marty, Tobin, and Sue; her children, Natalie and Nathan; and her grandchildren Ariel, Chara, Katie, and Connor.
Pam entered heaven on December 9, 2022. A Celebration of her life will be Monday, January 2, 11am, at Cornerstone Church, 1595 S Alma School Rd, Chandler AZ, in the Student Building.
