

Patricia G. Broome of Sun Lakes went home to her Heavenly Father on June 2, 2015 at Symphony of Mesa (dementia care unit). Patty was born October 15, 1944 the daughter of Murl and Eleanor Minnick. She grew up in Susanville, California where she graduated from Lassen High School in 1962 and also attend Lassen County Junior College. Patty’s work experience was mostly in customer service and personnel initially at the Salt River Project and later for Dayton’s Department Store when the family relocated to Fargo, N.D. An avid crafter Patty loved scrapbooking, playing bridge and other card games and doing crossword puzzles. In retirement Patty was actively involved with the Assistance League of the East Valley. Patty is survived by her husband Dan, daughter Deby Dyson of Leesburg, Virginia and brother Wayne Minnick of Susanville, California; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Patty was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Wendy Horne of Fargo, North Dakota. Patty’s family is very grateful for the wonderful care and medical treatment she received at Chandler Regional Hospital, Arizona Heart Hospital, Symphony of Mesa and Hospice of the Valley. The doctors, nurses and support staff treated us like family and went out of their way to sustain us during a very difficult time. Patty’s final resting place will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona – Phoenix, Arizona.
