Paul Ray Jarnagin was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 1, 1935, the son of Orestes Sanders and Lora Lee Dunnam Jarnagin. He peacefully passed on September 3, 2022 at age 87, as a resident of Heritage Village assisted living in Mesa, Arizona. Paul married his sweetheart Nita Jenelle Wilson in Dallas, Texas on August 19, 1954 and sealed in the LDS Mesa Temple on August 26, 1968. They were together for 68 years and loved celebrating both anniversaries. Paul and Jenelle have 7 children: Bebe Anderson, Katy Cochran (Robert, passed), Paul Jr. (Michelle), James (Janae), Richard (Victoria), Nita Spencer (Steve), and Nancy. Paul loved his children, 26 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife and his sister Rosemary Pack (Robert). He was preceded in death by his son Richard, grandson Dallen Jarnagin, great grandson Bronson Iannacone and son-in-law Robert Cochran. Paul and Jenelle lived in numerous locations throughout the years as they raised their children: Texas, Arkansas, Utah, California, Oklahoma, and finally Arizona for the last 33 years. Our father had a kind, caring, jovial personality. When we were little, our dad was like a big kid; lots of fun. Dad loved music and singing when we were young. He had numerous talents. Dad had the best laugh, a sweet smile and endearing crystal blue eyes. Dad loved and adored our mother. To hear dad pray, there was no doubt he had a deep love for God and a personal, sacred relationship with our Savior. He loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We will miss our father, grandfather, brother and uncle but with joy we celebrate the amazing life he lived, and with joy we celebrate the grand reunion he is having with all of his loved ones who moved on before him.
