Still in shock of losing my great friend
Pilar. We had fun here in Arizona and also in Washington.  My deepest condolences to her family.  Mary Mendoza 

I remember when we celebrated her birthday at the  casino she was so happy.  We always got together for lunch and catch up on what was going on.  I miss  my friend.

I wanted to share this picture of Pilar playing with these piglets.  I have always loved this picture because it shows how beautiful Pilar was inside and out. She loved animals like I do and we shared that.  I can hear her laughing with joy at the wonder of these cute little guys.  I keep this picture up in my house and it always makes me smile.  Love love love you Tia.

I was lucky enough to know and work with Pilar for over 15 years. She was always in a good and high spirited mood. We spent lots of time together as co-workers and as friends. She would always speak of her son and how proud she was of the man he had become. You could tell she was a great mother and good friend. My heart was broken when I saw the announcement of her passing knowing that she had just begun the reward of all those years of hard work. She will be missed.

My aunt Pilar is an awesome person! She and I are only 9 years apart and we understand each other and have a special connection. I can't remember a visit or phone conversation that has not resulted in both of us laughing our heads off.  She has that loud, contagious laugh that comes from the heart. And after the visit or phone call is over you feel better about yourself, happier somehow.
She loves her family, her son specially. You can feel the pride every time she mentions his name. Loves animals and is passionate about things she believes in.
I love her very much. 
Her physical presence will be missed, but she lives on in my mind and in my heart. I hear her laughter as I write this note, and yes, I feel better.  Thank you Pilar!

My name is Ian McKillop and I was Pilar’s last manager at Honeywell. It felt very special getting to help celebrate her 40th anniversary at Honeywell and last day with the company as she moved into retirement. Her energy, humor and attitude was often the only thing that got me through tough days at the office. 

After her retirement, we became real friends. She even got to meet my wife before she headed off to Arizona. We stayed in contact as I got to hear about her buying a new car, a new home, attempts at dating, her strong political views and general life with no work. We often discussed visiting her once travel was again safe. We are completely saddened by her sudden passing. Pilar felt like part of our family. While I was wish there was more time with her, I am grateful for the small part of her life we got to share and the joy she brought. 

Pilar we love and miss you.
