Robert "Bob" Eugene Chapman

Robert “Bob” Eugene Chapman, 85, entered eternal life on July 24, 2026. He was born on August 17, 1940, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to William and Alice (Anderson) Chapman. For the past 37 years, Bob made his home in Mesa, Casa Grande, and Chandler, Arizona.

From his earliest years, Bob carried himself with a quiet steadiness. He expressed his love and care through his actions, and his gentle spirit and generosity were most evident in the everyday ways he supported those around him. His life was marked by consistent effort, humility, and devotion to those he loved.

Bob worked as a truck driver for the Meat Packers Union in the San Francisco Bay Area. After moving to Arizona, he continued driving both long-haul and short-haul routes. His work reflected the reliability that characterized his life—reliability shaped by long days, personal responsibility, and a sincere commitment to providing for his family.

Bob was blessed with more than 43 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Lynne Marie Chapman, who survives him. Although he had no biological children, Bob often expressed his gratitude for the family he lovingly embraced as his own.

He is also survived by his daughters, DeAnn Morgan, Jolyn (Earle) Canty, and Tammy (Paul) Stark; his son, Mark (Janet) Ward; his grandchildren, Aaron Morgan, Adrian Kuykendall, Brittney Kuykendall, Jennifer (Kiel) Hawkins, Rebekah Ward, Nathan (Ashley) Ward, Emily (Austin) Baker, Desiree (Joe) Griffith, Sam (Katie) Canty, Hannah (Jim) Daugherty, Ethan Canty, Tim Canty, Colin Zeng, Teagan Stark, Grace Stark, and Will Stark; 16 great-grandchildren; his beloved aunt, Betty Anderson; his beloved nieces; his brother-in-law, David (Lanita) Thompson; and his sister-in-law, Robyn Chapman.

Bob found great joy in the beauty of Arizona’s mountains and took genuine pleasure in faithfully cheering for his favorite teams. He was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan and had a lifelong love of baseball.

As the years passed and Bob grew closer to Jesus, the qualities that had long characterized his life became increasingly evident: a gentle heart, a humble spirit, and unfailing kindness. He touched many lives through quiet acts of love and service. Bob’s life reminds us that love is often expressed most clearly not through grand gestures, but through faithfulness, dependability, generosity, and simply being there when others need us.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of kindness and quiet strength. He was deeply loved, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Chandler Heights Community Church, 26800 S. Mandarin Drive, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142.
