Robert Andrew Gandara
September 23, 1997 – April 2, 2021
Robert Andrew Gandara, 23, of Phoenix, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2021. He was a native of Phoenix, and graduated from Basha High School, Class of 2015. After High School, Robert decided to attend culinary school, where he pursued his passion and became a chef. He graduated in 2017 from Arizona Culinary Institute. When not working in the kitchen, Robert could be found working out at the gym and hanging out with his friends and family. He will be remembered for his dedication to his passion of cooking and his big beautiful smile that lit up the room. His proudest accomplishments were making Sous Chef at the age of 21 at Kona Grill and Sous Chef at Café Monarch at 23. Robert is survived by his mom (Billie Richardson), his dad (Craig Richardson), his sisters (Kayla Schurig, Brianna Schurig and Elizabeth Richardson) and brother (Steven Richardson).

My best friend forever. He never failed to be there for my hardest times all these years regardless of what we had going in our life’s. We knew that we would always be there for each other.
