I attended the Celebration of Life and was so touched by the wonderful photo's and memories shared by so many who loved Bob. My husband is under care at Copper Creek Memory Care where Diana is an Executive Director for the facility. I have met Marissa, and Sonia and little Cruz. I feel for all of you in this unexpected loss and I'm so glad you all live nearby in the area. I wish I had met Bob as he was such a loving kind man. Tom and I send our deepest sympathy to all of you and your extended family. The memories are our greatest strength and you realize how important it is to "Celebrate Life" every chance we get. May God give each of you a daily strength for the says ahead. The service was really lovely.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Grondin family. I was a colleague of Bob's while he was Director of Student Academic Services in the Engineering School at the Tempe campus. Bob was a consummate professional; firm but fair to students and faculty alike. Every semester I taught freshman engineering, I would ask Bob to talk to the students on matters of academic integrity; this was an invitation that Bob always eagerly welcomed. I also had many opportunities to work with him on student hearings and related academic matters. He will be sorely missed.

Sincere condolences to the Grondin family. I worked with Bob on several student projects and he was always a team player, willing to spend more time than anyone, and always a student advocate. He was a tremendous resource for us.

I'm writing to send my deepest sympathy and love to Professor Grondin's lovely daughter, Mari. She worked with me in the Emeritus College and though I did not know who her parents were, I could tell that they raised a wonderful daughter. Alleen Nilsen
