Robert "Bob" Lawrence Miller

Bob grew up in Gilbert and graduated from Gilbert High School before serving in the United States Air Force. He married Selma Strait on July 17, 1953 in the Gilbert Methodist Church and farmed on his land in Gilbert before working as a truck driver for Cactus Transport.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandkids and great grandkids.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Nancy Lerma; grandchildren, Jason Poston and Jenna Solomonson; great grandchildren, Waylon Poston and Whitley Poston; and nephews: Mark, Meredith, Mike, Ricky and Steve Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Selma Miller; daughter, Lynn Miller; mother, Mary Elsner Miller; father, Joseph Meredith "Med" Miller; brothers: Meredith Miller, George Miller and Richard "Dick" Miller.

A funeral service for Bob will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service with military honors at 11:00 AM, all services at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery: 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248.
