ROBERT (BOBBY, BOBCAT) SIVERTSON, 72, Minot ND and Sun Lakes, AZ played his final jeopardy game on March 21st, 2021 at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, AZ as he held hands with his partner, Nancy Osborne.
He was born in Bottineau, ND in 1949 to Arlene (Kelly) and Alfred Sivertson and was raised in Landa, ND. He graduated from Westhope High School in 1967. Bobby was a hardworking farmer, custom combiner, and drove semi-truck for Cardinal Oil. Bobby was once married to Debbie Todd, a union from which three sons were born. His favorite pastime was playing cards, with Gin and Whist being his preferred games, but was always up for any good card game and always said “I’d rather play and lose than not play at all.” He especially enjoyed card playing in the basement of the Elks Lodge, Trappers Lounge, Westhope Country Club and in his TV room in Sun Lakes. He was an excellent card partner (and teacher).
Bobby was quick witted and was always up for a good visit whether it be on the farm, at the Lake, or at one of his favorite establishments. One of Bobby’s favorite topics was the discussion of Julius Caesar by Shakespeare “Beware the Ides of March!” Bobby was a great friend, always willing to help, and a caring son. Bobby cared for his mother in her later days. He was a longtime member of the Minot Elks Club, Westhope Country Club, Minot Moose Club and Cottonwood Country Club in Sun Lakes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donnie and his son, Christopher. He is survived by two sons, Todd (Jessica), and Tyson and two granddaughters, Sofia and Isabella. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
