Roberto "Bert" Bagnas Cadiz

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Roberto B. Cadiz—known lovingly as Bert, Berto, or Rubing—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and friend, who left us on April 30, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on May 6, 1936, in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines, Roberto lived a life defined by hard work, hope, and an unwavering commitment to his family. He was the beloved husband of Flordeliza, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage, and a proud father to Rodelbert, Mylene, and Nenette, who were the light of his life.

Bert was known for his gentle spirit, loyalty, and strong work ethic. He had a deep love for cooking Filipino sweet delicacies, listening to music, and watching sports—especially boxing and basketball. He dedicated his career to the electrician trade, where he was admired for his attention to detail, resourcefulness, integrity, and kindness.

Above all, Bert cherished time with his family—whether it was quiet evenings at home, do-it-yourself projects, preparing meals, or simply sharing laughter around the table. His presence brought warmth, stability, and a sense of home.

His legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and quiet strength. He taught those around him the true meaning of resilience, humility, and unconditional support.

Roberto is survived by his wife, Flor; his eldest son, Rodel, and his wife Charito; his daughter Mylene and her husband Alfredo; and his youngest daughter, Nenette. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren—Florence, Marcus, Lloyd, Yllana, Erin, and Luke—and his great-grandchildren, Chase and Kaede.

A celebration of life for Roberto will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
