

Ronald George Brown, age 88, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was a graduate of Brainerd Senior High School. Throughout his life he was an active member of Brainerd Assembly of God Church. For 6 years he served in the local Army Reserve. He was the 1963 regional roller-skating championship finalist. In 1968 he began a small business that grew to dozens of locations throughout the Midwest, ultimately becoming a publicly traded corporation. For business and pleasure he was a private pilot, logging several thousand hours. He was an avid street rod builder that crafted a variety of cars and trucks that won many awards. Road trips, car shows, and guys nights out were certainly the best part of the hobby.
He is survived by his loving wife Jean “Mrs. Honey”, and 4 adult children: Ronnie Brown, 62, Rhonda Miller, 59 (Ron,) Vincent Brown, 55 (Kareena), Vanessa Smith, 54 (Mike.) He was adored by his 6 grandchildren: Riley, Megan, Regen, Ramzee, Grafton, Deklan. He was loving, gentle, and kind with a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends Services will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, AZ October 30th and a celebration of life in Brainerd, MN on November 7th.
