I wanted to say a few things that I couldn't get out at the service. Hard for me to talk about a good friend like Ron without choking up.
Ron was a really fine man. I have known him for 8 years and I wish I'd have known him all his life. He was really a great friend. We didn't always agree on everything but we always were good friends. It was a pleasure to know him and to be a small part of his sports life at the golf course.
Ron was a lover of animals as am I, and we had a great time passing back and forth pictures and stories of all kinds of domestic and wild animals. He appreciated beauty and kindness, and that's my kind of guy. It's not always about how macho we can be. We can all do that. But it takes much more to show your warm side, and Ron could do that with ease. And without embarrassment. I liked that about him. I have great respect for him because of that. He made my day a couple times a week. At least!
I think of him often, and I am sure I always will. But I'm glad of that because he was a fine man. I know the family misses him, but I hope sharing my thoughts will help a bit.
Best to all of the family.
Ron's friend,
Bill Norton

Dear Ron,
We know you are on a higher plain and that you probably have your golf bag with you. You were a very special neighbor and friend on the lake; and knowing you was such a pleasure. Sending condolences to Laura and family.
