Rose Ann Buxton

Rose graduated from Hart High School and later received certification from the Michigan College of Beauty. She was married to her first husband William Barnes in Weare, Michigan from 1962 until his death in 1986. Rose married her 2nd husband, Richard Buxton in Lansing, Michigan on May 30, 1992. They were married until his death on November 28, 2024.

She had a career as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service and also worked as a licensed beautician. Rose had a passion for her family, travel, fishing, playing cards, and was a sports fan of the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Rose is survived by her son, Kevin (Karen) Barnes; daughters, Kellie Tyler, Kim (Kyle) Grimwood; grandchildren, Ian Barnes, Aidan Barnes, Grant Tyler, and Rebekah Tyler; sister Brenda (Andy) Van Zoren; stepdaughter, Joyce Buxton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father, Paul Malburg, Mother Elizabeth Malburg and brother Gerald Malburg.

Services for Rose will include a Visitation ceremony from 5:00 to 8:00 PM (Rosary to begin at 6:30 PM) at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler, Arizona 85248. Her Funeral Mass will be held the following day: Friday, March 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Saint Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3200 S Cooper Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85286. A Rite of Committal and burial for Rose will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2520 W Willow St. Lansing, Michigan 48917. Following the burial, a Noon Luncheon in honor of Rose will be held at the Crowne Plaza Lansing: 925 S Creyts Road, Lansing, Michigan 48917.
