

Ross Thomas Ronan, 88, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on May 26, 2026. Born July 15, 1937, in Elmira, NY, Ross lived a life marked by steady courage, deep devotion to family, and the kind of presence that is quietly, enduringly cherished.
Ross pursued his education with purpose and earned an associates degree, laying a foundation for a life defined by service and commitment.
Ross served in the US Air Force, entering into service on August 17, 1955 in Washington, DC. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was recognized for his dedication and excellence, earning the AF Outstanding Unit Award, the Good Conduct Medal (twice), the Air Force Good Conduct Medal (twice), the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Longevity Service Award. His years in uniform reflected both bravery and a steadfast sense of responsibility—qualities that remained evident throughout his life.
Ross was married to Gene Marie Ronan, and together they built a family anchored in love and loyalty. Ross was preceded in death by his wife Gene after 58 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Robinson (Don); sons John Ronan (Sheri), Michael Ronan, Bill Wojcik (Amy); grandchildren Amber Ronan, Bridgette Ronan, Milton Ronan, Dominique Ronan, Zach Ronan, Claire Ronan, Andy Robinson, Billy Robinson, Erin Wojcik; and great-grandchildren Adeline Robinson, Elouise Robinson, and Stetson Robinson. In the lives of those he loved, Ross will be remembered as a beloved and constant source of care.
In quieter moments, Ross found joy in private flying, golf and gardening—interests that spoke to his adventurous spirit and appreciation for simple, well-tended pleasures. Whether in the air, on the course, or in the garden, he carried himself with calm confidence and a grateful enjoyment of the world around him.
Ross will be remembered with respect and gratitude for a life of service, a heart that was deeply cherished, and a legacy carried forward by the family who loved him.
