Her innate desire to care for others led her to serve in the Army from 1967 to 1970, where she was stationed in Vietnam as a nurse. Her time in the military was a testament to her courage and unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
Following her military service, Susan embarked on a successful career as an OB nurse, then transitioned into a career as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Her work was not just a profession but a means to connect with people across different walks of life. Susan had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel valued and understood, a quality that made her not only successful in her career but also deeply loved by her colleagues and clients alike.
A devoted member of the Methodist Church, Susan found solace and strength in her faith. She is survived by her only son Tim (Kristi) Sheahan, grandchildren David (Gracie) Sheahan, Brooke (Ryan) Harper, brothers John Duffy, Charles (MaryAnn) Duffy, and Dennis (Kathy) Duffy, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she delighted in every moment spent with them.
