

Theodore “Ted” Cole passed away on Friday October 2, 2026. Ted was born August 18, 1942 in Bainbridge, NY to Judson and Ruth “Marty” (Martin) Cole. Ted was a Sidney High School graduate and Army Veteran serving in Germany from 1963-1964. He later received his Associates Degree from Binghamton Community College. Ted married the love of his life Linda, August 24, 1968. Ted spent his career working at Unalam as a project coordinator before retiring. Ted was an avid tennis fan and spent much of his free time playing tennis at the Unadilla courts with his buddy Norm Bourdon. One of Ted’s proudest accomplishments was participating (and finishing) the 1974 General Clinton Canoe Regatta 70 mile race with his buddy John Johnson.
Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda, children Kristen, Judson, daughter-in-law Heidi, grandchildren Ethan Morrison and Riley and Jaden Cole, sister Constance “Connie” Peck and sister-in-law Joelene (Woods) Cole , and two of the best friends a guy could have Jeff Oneil and John Johnson, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Terrence “Terry” Cole.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Friends of the Libraries ℅ Sidney Memorial Library, 8 River St. Sidney NY 13838 or to St Jude. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
