Wes Folmar

He was born in Maywood, California to Chester and Etna Folmar on March 7, 1954.

He grew up in Norwalk, California and graduated from Santa Fe Springs High School in 1972 where he lettered in baseball and basketball. He attended First Baptist Church of Santa Fe Springs where he met his wife Debbie. Wes and Debbie were married on July 21, 1973 celebrating 52 years of marriage. They had two daughters, Stephanie and Melissa.

He also received an associate's degree from Fullerton Community College in Radiologic Technologies and pursued a 40 year career as an X-ray Tech and a CT Tech. He worked at Rio Hondo Hospital (Downey, Ca), La Mirada Hospital, Brea Hospital, Whittier Hospital, Hoag Hospital (Newport Beach, Ca), St. Jude Hospital (Fullerton, Ca), and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.

He had a passion for fishing, baseball, magic, gardening, his family, and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Folmar; his daughters Stephanie Taranec and Melissa Pretzer; his son-in-laws Nick Taranec and David Pretzer; his grandchildren Jordyn Taranec and Andrew Pretzer; his brother Michael R. Folmar; and many family members, co-workers, and friends.
