He enjoyed helping people and earned their trust through his integrity, professionalism, precision, and genuine compassion. Outside of work, Jerry mentored and formed a lasting relationship with a young man through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America program.
With an active and adventurous spirit, Jerry enjoyed cycling, swimming, snow skiing, hiking, and running. He completed marathons in Portland, Oregon and at Disneyworld. He and his older brother cycled across the United States in 1976, and he and Maribel hiked into and out of the Grand Canyon. Jerry began playing tennis as a teenager and continued to improve his game throughout his life. Among his greatest joys was being on the water.
