

Alain Claude Bodros, 76, of Chapin, South Carolina, passed away on May 15, 2026, in his home. Alain was born in Paris, France, and moved to the United States at age 3 with his mother, Odette Classey, and grandmother, Maria Champagnat. He grew up in Wolcott, Connecticut.
Alain enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Sandvik Coromant in Mebane, North Carolina as a Senior Engineer. He loved listening to rock and roll music, especially The Beatles and Journey. He enjoyed boating, trying to fish, and telling stories about the good old days.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Odette Classey, and his granddaughter, Briana Michelle Garner.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Tamara K. Bodros of Chapin, South Carolina; his two children, Christopher A. Bodros of Burlington, North Carolina, and Michelle Garner and her spouse Michael of Mebane, North Carolina; his granddaughters, Amber Garner and Ashley Garner of Mebane, North Carolina; and his great-granddaughter, Paisley B. Tingen. He will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23606 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
