Alice Boone, 89, of Little Mountain, South Carolina, passed away on September 15, 2026. Born July 3, 1937, in Clarkston, NC, she was the daughter of the late John F. Powers and Annie Thompson Powers.
Alice is survived by her husband of 54 years, James "Bo" Boone; her chosen daughter, Maggie McCullough; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Alice will remember the steady kindness she extended so naturally—an openhearted presence that made others feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. In countless quiet ways, she offered herself as a mother figure to all those she met, leaving a legacy of warmth and giving that will be long cherished.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Epworth Children's Home or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
