CHAPIN – Funeral services for
Caroline Prosser Hammond, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mrs. Hammond was born February 28, 1931 in Kingstree, SC and passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. She was the daughter of Haskell Lamar Prosser and Tyson McFadden Prosser. She was a Charter Member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church and retired after 27 years as Director of Residents and Students at Richland Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Scott (Scottie) Amick of Prosperity, SC; son, Samuel Capers Hammond of Atlanta GA; five grandchildren, Angie, Stacey, Brandon, Capers and Cantey; niece, Nancy Prosser Turner and husband John. Caroline is predeceased by her husband, Sam Hammond.
Memorials may be made to the Church or Agape Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Dr., Columbia, SC 29210. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
