Carroll Richard Lindler, 79, was born August 28, 1942 in Chapin, SC and passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was the son of the late Mary Ruth Bouknight and Charles Edward Lindler. Richard worked with the Department of Transportation for 38 years. After retirement, he worked for LPA. He loved traveling, gardening, was an avid Gamecock fan and a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
Richard is survived by his significant other, Ruby Peavy; nieces, Beth Cumalander (Mark), Debra Vitali, Karen Beauchemin (Fred); nephew, Lester E. Lindler; great nephew, R. J. Vitali (Kristin); great nieces, Tracy Mack (Jamie), Nicole Smith (Jonathan), Danielle Vitali; great great nieces, Payton, Brantlee, Ashlyn, Taylor and Hayden; great great nephews, Levi, Liam, Landon and Vinny. He was predeceased by his brother, David Lindler (Reba).
A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. In order to honor Richard’s request, those in attendance are asked to dress casual.
