CHAPIN - Catherine Brown Walker, 60, of Chapin, SC, wife of Charles Walker, Jr., died suddenly on April 28, 2018. Cathy lived a life full of love for family, friends, and children. Cathy graduated from USC, which she always supported. She invested her career in children, both her own and as Pre-School Director at Washington Street UMC in Columbia and Mt. Horeb Lutheran in Chapin.
Cathy leaves behind her loving husband Chuck; two devoted daughters, Cassie Walker of New York, NY, and Courtney Blake (Shaun Blake) of Columbia; two adoring grandchildren, Sadie and Liam Blake; two brothers, Mike Brown (Debbie Brown) of NC, and David Brown of TN; and too great a number of loving family and cherished friends to list. Cathy joins her parents, Bernard Brown and Ann L. Brown of Walhalla, SC.
Cathy’s family will accept visitors at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel, 123 Columbia Ave., Chapin, SC from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Her family will have a private ash scattering ceremony on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church – Preschool Fund, 101 E Boundary Street, Chapin, SC 29036.
