COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Charles “Buck” M. Jones, Jr., 92, will be held at 2:00 Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Chapin United Methodist Church with interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Memorials may be made to Jamil Shrine Temple, 206 Jamil Rd., Columbia, SC 29210.
Mr. Jones was born September 9, 1925 in Easley, SC and passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was the son of the late, Charles M. Jones and Maggie Mae Smith Jones. He was owner and operator of Jones Motors. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Charles was a member of Jamil Shrine Temple. He loved fishing, gardening and growing flowers.
Surviving are his son, Stephen Tracy Jones (Jonnie) of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Pamela Gaskins (John) of Orangeburg, SC; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his loving cats, Becky and Lucky. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy Charles Jones and sister, Sali Holder.
