David Edgar Shealy

CHAPIN – Funeral services for David Edgar Shealy, 92, of Chapin, SC will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Chapin with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to St. Jacob's Lutheran Church or to the American Red Cross. Mr. Shealy was born November 3, 1925 in Chapin to the late Gary and Lottie and passed away Friday February 9 2018. He is survived by his daughters, Vida Shealy Smallwood (Kim) of Katy, TX and LeAnne Shealy Hammett (Warren) of Greenville, SC; son, Dennis G. Shealy (Ann) of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Eric, Tana, Wesley, Sara, Ty, Christine, Kimberly Jacob, David and John Michael and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives, Martha Mae and Dorothy Lee and by a son, Mervyn Shealy. David served in the Marine Corps in WWII. He was a dedicated blood donor for over 50 years. He was active in the church and Ruritan Club. He supported the Chapin Eagles and Clemson Tigers. He retired from SCE&G. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
