Wayne was born on January 31, 1941 to the late Sidney Charles Stoudemire and Lorene Huffstetler Stoudemire. He was a graduate of Chapin High School Class of 1959 and served in the Air National Guard. During his time there, he was deployed to Spain during the Berlin crisis. He went on to become an accomplished carpenter in the Chapin area until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Interactive Sunday School Class, Primetimers, and had served as a youth leader and church council member. Wayne was also an avid fisherman and spent much of his free time on Lakes Murray and Monticello.
He is survived by his children, Carol (Gibson) Solomons, Dale Stoudemire, and Daran (Michelle) Stoudemire; grandchildren, Karen (Matt) Stuemke, Allen (Tracy) Solomons, Kelly Stoudemire, Nathan Stoudemire, Sarah Stoudemire, Dylan Stoudemire, and Caitlyn Stoudemire; siblings, James (Betty) Stoudemire, and Debbie (Marc) Danque, along with nieces and nephews. He was also looking forward to the upcoming birth of his first great grandchild later this year.
Services will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 11, at 2:00 pm. Family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Fellowship Hall.
