
CHAPIN – Funeral services for Edward Brinon “Brent” Lindler, 94, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday November 8, 2012 at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, 101 East Boundary Street, Chapin, SC 29036, where Mr. Lindler was an active member until he moved into Generations Assisted Living.
Mr. Lindler was born August 30, 1918 and passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Heritage At Lowman under Lowman Hospice Care. He was a son of the late Edward Bachman and Annie Mae Derrick Lindler. He was a graduate of Chapin High School and retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company after a 42 year career.
Mr. Lindler is survived by his children, Carroll E. Lindler, Sr. (Faye), Judy Lindler Frick, Arlene Derrick (Hollis), Jerry Lindler (DeArcie); sister, Betty Rast; brother, Grady Lindler (Connie); sister-in-law, Martha Stuart (Fred); twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Shealy Lindler; brothers, Cecil, Blair, Lewis and sisters, Cleo Free and Mary Ella Hawkins.
He was a devoted family man and was loved by his children. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Generations of Chapin, the Heritage At Lowman and Lutheran Hospice for their thoughtful and loving care of our Daddy. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
