Frances E. Shealy

CHAPIN - Frances Elizabeth Eleazer Shealy, 92, went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2018. Born June 15, 1926 to the late William Walter and Eunice Eargle Eleazer, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in the Springhill community where she taught Sunday school, served on the Altar Guild, and was a member of WELCA for many years. Frances always loved being out in her yard, gardening her flowers/vegetables or riding her lawn mower up until the summer of 2017. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Grady Shealy; sisters, Carolyn Eleazer Derrick and Connie Eleazer Price; brother, George William Eleazer; nephew, Bobby Dale Eleazer. Surviving are her 3 daughters: Betty Jo “BJ” (Albert) Amick of Little Mountain, SC, Kathy (Fernando) Vidal of Cayce, SC, and Donna (Kerry) Stinman of Waxhaw, NC; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Angela) Amick, Francesca Vidal, Abbey Vidal, Carter Stinman, Kyle (Carol Stacy) Stinman, and Dylan Stinman; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Caleb, Eli, Thomas, Isaac, and Lia Amick, Henry Stinman. Thanks to MSA Hospice for their compassionate care given during the last few months. Special thanks to her niece, Diane Price, who cared for her aunt for the last few years and, also, a special thanks to her other caregivers who became her new extended family: Karen Casey, Sharon Brantley, Wanda Garner, Theresa Johnson, Kimberly Smalls, and Betty Rowe. Visitation will be held on December 21 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel, from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on December 22 at 11 am at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church.
