What a magnificent lady was our Hilda Beaver! She was my first experience with Chapin Theatre as we worked together behind the scenes to find an apparatus for a very specific special effect. Neither of us had much knowledge of what to get or even where to look but we sure had a wonderful time figuring it out! During that time I confided in her that I was extremely nervous about auditioning for the upcoming show since so many years had passed since my last one. Her advice to me was so kind, loving and down-to-earth. Yes, I auditioned and I was cast in the show, but without her sweet spirit, gentle guidance and inspiration in the beginning I would not have had the courage to do so and I would not be a part of the theatre community today. Thank you Hilda!
She was a great ambassador for the theatre, the arts and everything her extraordinary spirit touched. I am so thankful that God caused our paths to cross in His perfect timing and that she was a part of my life!

I met Hilda through Chapin Theatre. What a wonderful life force. She was always fun and bright and provided her wonderful talent to CCT. Our website still displays her sketch of the old theatre building. We love you Hilda.

I'll always remember working at Chapin theater and if we needed something for the set or props for a play they would always say "call Hilda, she probably has one"....and she would!
