This is a silly memory but one that makes me happy to think about. When Johnnie and I were about 7 or 8 years old we spent a week with Grandmama Hallie. She took us with her to her dentist appointment. The dentist gave Johnnie and me new toothbrushes in this dachshund shaped containers. We took the toothbrushes out and tied leashes around the plastic dachshund's head (all Johnnie's idea) and drug those things all around Grandmama's house. We had a ball! No video games, no tv (Grandmother would never allow that!), no tablets but we had so much fun! Also, we went shopping with G.H. and an old friend of hers met us and thought I was a boy. Grandmama made me buy a dress afterwards and Johnnie laughed! I still crack up when I remember that visit! Johnnie and I were the best buddies!
