

LITTLE MOUNTAIN – Funeral services for Josh Monts, 27, of Little Mountain will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Dawson Bundrick, Jamie Daily, Roger Farr, Derek Frick, Brent Shobert, Adam Slice, Cory Wilson and Brad Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be, Caleb Moates, Brady Moates, the Swamp Donkeys and Blue Jays ball team. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Josh was the loving son of Cathy and Bobby Monts and was born on February 19, 1987 in Little Mountain, SC. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 12, 2014. Josh graduated from Chapin High School in 2005 and was employed by D&J Machinery and Rigging in Lexington. Josh’s passion was baseball, family and friends and he was an active player with the Swamp Donkeys and Blue Jays ball teams. Josh was also an enthusiastic and devoted USC Gamecock fan. Josh especially enjoyed spending quality time with his nieces and nephews and always embraced life with a “dimpled” smile and a kindness for others.
Josh is survived by his parents of Little Mountain; sisters, Dawn Mitchem (Tiger), Kayla Moates and Amanda Wright; nephews, Dawson Bundrick (Dani), Caleb Moates and Brady Moates; nieces, Brooke Bundrick and Braylin Wright. Josh is also survived by his grandmother, Margie Monts and was the grandson of the late Forest and Coliene Arthur and Robert Monts. Josh is also survived by many aunts and uncles and was beloved by all his family.
