My prayers go out to the Kelly family. Ken and I, growing up in the same neighborhood, became best friends as we grew up together. We journeyed through elementary school into high school with fond memories that I will always cherish. Never will forget the day we met again at 5 Guys in Columbia. Turned out that we were there for the same reason, the Paul McCartney concert. He remembered that I was a huge Beatle fan. From there we had the opportunity to meet a few more times and shared old memories. Rest in peace my friend.













































So sorry to hear of Ken’s passing.  My prayers are with you all.  

Ken and the rest of the MM8 crew were instramental in freeing me from working for someone else and starting my own business.  I looked forward to catching up with him at conventions, and on the phone over the last 8 years.  He was always an example of how to treat others.  I was blessed to know him. 

I send my sympathies and prayers to the Kelly family. I wish I had met you. Ken was a great friend. I've known Ken all my life. He was my very first friend in school. We graduated from high school together.  In our senior year Ken would lead us in song just before Physics class. It was a blast. We sang John Denver hits most of time.  Most of all, I remember Ken's kindness, his friendliness and even then his devotion to the lord! I miss him already. I plan on seeing him again. Save a spot for me!

Praise God and thank God for Ken Kelly. What a great blessing to have had Ken as my Pastor, mentor, neighbor, and friend. To Anita , Kenny, Kevin and Tyler,  Jackie and I offer  our heartfelt sympathy . At just the right time the Lord brought Ken into my life. I will always be thankful for the day Ken ,as my neighbor , invited me to Chapin Baptist Church . Through Ken’s loving and caring heart he showed what it means to follow Christ. I believe Ken is now in that  special place Jesus prepared in advance for him - where he is completely healed and worshiping the Lord. Praise God!

I know Ken will be missed by so many.  My thoughts and prayers go out to family members who have lost such a dear and gentle man.  I have a story to share about Ken, shortly after we joined CBC, where he was our beloved minister. My father had just passed at the age of 72 and the year before my sister had passed at the age of 44.  Ken knew this, had suffered some losses also, and one Sunday in church while delivering his sermon, he spotted me in one of the pews, probably  holding a tissue to hide my teary face and said, "Susan, you ok?" He said it quickly to me and moved on with his sermon. That was so kind and always has been a reminder to me to show compassion when I see it is needed.  The world needs more like Ken. 

We met Ken in 1999 just after our son Nathan passed away. Ken came to visit us and comfort us in our loss. I'll never forget his caring for us someone he did not know. We joined CBC right after that visit and we were saddened when he left the church. Ken taught and showed us the love of JESUS CHRIST. Ken was not only our pastor but our dear friend that we love. We will miss him dearly.

When Lee and I moved to Chapin in 1991 and first visited Chapin Baptist Church, we knew right away that God was leading us to join This fellowship of believers during this season in our lives. Little did we know that God would lead me to become music director and work with Ken and other wonderful staff members for eight years. Under Ken’s leadership Chapin Baptist grew as a beacon for Christ in this community. Thank you, Ken, for your leadership, your mentorship, and your vision for Chapin Baptist. But most of all, thank you for your unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  You have fought the good fight, taken up your cross and followed Jesus.  Rest in His peace.

There's not enough endearing adjectives in the dictionary to describe Pastor Ken Kelly. Years ago, Pastor Ken welcomed Leo, our children and me to Chapin Baptist with non-judgmental arms. He quickly became a trusted leader, confidant and friend! He baptized me, Leo and our son, Charles.  No greater commitment have I ever made than to give my life to God! I expect there are countless similar sentiments from others. So this is not a "goodbye". This is an "until we meet again", Pastor Ken Kelly. As you  now rejoice in the presence of our Father, God; I listen for your precious voice amongst the Angel's choir! Thank you, Pastor Ken Kelly, for everything! Simply, Rhonda
