

L.T. “Tommy” Wilson, Jr., 83, of Chapin, SC went to be with the Lord after a brief illness at Lexington Medical Center on June 6, 2026. Born on March 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Emma Long Hughes.
Tommy was a dedicated businessman who owned and operated Wilson Upholstery on Main St. in Columbia. He devoted more than 60 years to the upholstery trade earning the respect of his colleagues and customers through his hard work before retiring.
On March 18, 1961, Tommy married the love of his life, Mary “Debbie” Wilson. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and lasting memories. Their marriage was a testament to love, devotion, and partnership.
Tommy cherished time spent with his family and especially enjoyed being surrounded by his daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his daughter, Terri (Kevin) Frick; his grandsons, Josh (April) Frick and Jason (Justyne) Frick. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Trey Wilson, Kadey Roberts, Blythe Frick, and Avery Mynch. Tommy also leaves behind a brother, Wesley “Terry” (Pat) Wilson, a son-in-law, Tony Michau, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary “Debbie” Wilson and his daughter, Joanne Wilson Michau.
Tommy will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives through the family he loved so dearly.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Caughman Harman Funeral Home - Chapin Chapel, 123 Columbia Ave., Chapin, SC 29036. A memorial service will occur at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Chapin Christian Community Church - Columbarium, 415 Lexington Ave, Chapin, SC 29036.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tommy's name to Chapin Christian Community Church.
