CHAPIN – Funeral services for Marjie Derrick Troutman, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Bethel Lutheran Church in White Rock, SC, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Troutman was born November 4, 1926 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019. She was a daughter of the late Pearl Gleaton and Elmer Derrick. Mrs. Troutman graduated from Irmo High School. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 280 in Ballentine, SC. She loved living on Lake Murray where she could look out over her back yard and see not only the lake, but also her beautiful flowers that she was so fond of.
Mrs. Troutman is survived by her sons, Larry Troutman (Norma) and Bruce Troutman, both of Wilmington, NC; grandson, David Troutman (Kathleen) of Raleigh, NC; great-granddaughter, Grace Troutman; sister, Floyce Broom of Columbia, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, David Linel Troutman and brothers, J.W., Herman, Joe and Grover Derrick.
