Patsy retired from Richland school district five. She was a great cook and was well known for her pound cake. She loved being outside, working with her many beautiful plants and flowers, gardening, and her precious koi pond in which her (goldfish) lived that she called her boys. She was very passionate about her frog decor and loved showing off her collection. She truly desired and appreciated the simple things in life. Never wanting the attention on herself, but always willing to love, share and care for others as much as she could.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty Livingston and Miriam Brown; and brothers, Perry Livingston, Jr. (Sudie Mae) and Paul Livingston, all of Pomaria; as well as many nieces and nephews, along with their families.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Vernon Haskell McCartha; brother-in-laws, Hugh McCartha and JB McCartha; and sister-in-laws, Ethel Shealy, Georgia Mae Cannon, and Mildred Rice.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 2081 Dutch Fork Rd, White Rock, SC 29177. A burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery, with a visitation to take place at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice or a donation to Bethel Lutheran Church.
A special thank you to Brandi (hospice nurse) and Joe and Sharon Chapman.
