Born in Polk County, WI, her family moved to Minneapolis in 1943 where her father, Arley Hanson, a laborer at General Mills and her mother, Adah (Sorenson) Hanson, a seamstress, raised their large, rambunctious family. Ever glamorous and fashion conscious, upon graduation from Vocational High School, and prior to marriage, Pauline worked at the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in downtown Minneapolis. Pauline and her former husband, Charles Wodtke, raised their sons in North Minneapolis as she pursued a successful career in real-estate. Pauline was a voracious reader and an adventurous cook. Her chicken wild rice soup, pot roasts and appetizers were ‘to die for’! After retirement Pauline enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her sons and their families. Always elegant, she thrived on “making an entrance.” Heaven surely has more glitz and glitter since her arrival!
A service in celebration of her life will take place on December 5, 2025, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Maple Grove, MN, with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11 a.m.
