CHAPIN – Richard “Richie” A. Walters, Jr., 44, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, August 5, 2012. Born in Charleston, SC on May 31, 1968 he was the son of Richard and Brenda Walters. Richard was a retired chef. Surviving are his parents; aunts and uncles, Ann and Spencer Culbreth of Tennessee and Frances and Jimmy English of Lancaster; cousins, Dena (John) Poovey of Lancaster, Meridth (Mark) Lamas of Savannah and Brett (Amanda) English of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 735 Old Lexington Hwy. P.O. Box 265, Chapin, SC 29036. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
