Matt was born August 17, 1958 to Robert Ackerman Burbage and Doris Carter Burbage in Charleston, SC. He graduated from St. Andrew Parish High School, in Charleston, and attended Newberry College. Matt was such a kind, sweet, gentle, selfless man.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lassiter Burbage; son, Benjamin Matthew Burbage; mother, Doris Carter Burbage; brother, Alvin (Myrtis) Burbage and sister, Doris Marie Burbage. Matt was predeceased by his father and sister, Lynn Burbage.
