CHAPIN – A memorial service for Shan Austin, 66, of Chapin will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
Shan was born August 16, 1948 in Orangeburg, SC and passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was the daughter of Charles W. Austin and Katherine Weathers Austin.
She retired from Bell South after more than 30 years of service. Her favorite past time was fishing with her furry friend “Freckles”.
Shan is survived by her lifelong friend, Linda Ott of Chapin; brother, Charles “Bubba” Austin, III of Orangeburg and a nephew, John Wesley Austin of Summerville.
