Joann Robinson

Our beloved mother and wife, Joann Adams Robinson passed away at home on October 23, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Clay County, West Virginia on August 13, 1929, she met her husband of 68 years at the Barlow Skating Rink. Daughter of the late Mary and Bruce Adams, she was the proud mother to Jeanne, Becky and Joe. Her sweet and loving spirit was the bedrock of our family. She was a charter member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Cross Lanes where she faithfully served the Lord and her generosity extended well beyond her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Joseph Robinson, brother Jerry Adams and cherished nephew Bobby Hays. She is survived by her husband James Robinson; daughters Jeanne Martin & husband Jerry, Becky Simpson & husband John; grandchildren Kelly Keener & husband James, Julie Pitzer & husband Chuck, Wendy Greenwald & husband Michael, Zac Brown, James Martin & wife Sheena; great grandchildren Kaitlyn & Bella Lamotta, Kloee & Sofee Keener, Jaida & Camille Joann Greenwald, Collin & Jackson Martin. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Julie Weekly and Hospice caregivers, Kim Cyrus & Melinda Boggess. The Funeral Service will take place at 1pm Monday, October 27 at the Wilson Funeral Home 420 Lee St. West, with Reverend Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 11am to 1pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
