

Alani Bibiane Bichotte passed away on January 4, 2026. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 7, 2020, Alani was a vibrant and spirited individual known for her spunky and sweet nature. Her comforting presence and adventurous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Alani attended Northwest Movement School, where she was in kindergarten. She loved her teachers and classmates and had a passion for learning. Before that, she attended Pure Genius pre-school for pre-k, where her love for education began to blossom.
She is survived by her loving mother, Lovemika Bichotte, and father, Donte Thornhill. Alani was a beloved sister to her sisters, Zuri Thornhill and Aniya Thornhill. Her grandparents, Jay and Lorvana Moore, Tony and Keena Thornhill, Jermeal Williams, Reginald Boulware, and Guelor Bichotte, held a special place in her heart. She was also cherished by her aunts Lorna Bichotte, Sydney Moore, Ivey Moore, Nijah Thornhill, Skyler Rose Thornhill, Shamya Thornhill, Ijania Thornhill and her uncles Lorvens Bichotte, Jelani Williams, Tony Thornhill, and Brandon Thornhill. Her godparents, Ansley Charles and Lina Theodore, were also dear to her. Alani's great-grandparents, Valerius Edouard, Carrie Thigpen, Jesse Moore and Alourde Bichotte, loved and adored her. She is predeceased by her great-grandparents Bibiane Edouard, Timothy Martin, Shirley Martin, Andre Bichotte, and Serge Stinvil.
Alani was known as a fashionista, full of energy, and she loved life to the fullest. Her smile lit up the lives of those who loved her. She was a foodie with a particular fondness for sushi and chicken nuggets. She enjoyed singing and dancing along with her favorite songs. Alani is the cherished first of her generation and always looked forward to spending time and playing with her little cousins Azzie and Moe. Her favorite pastime included getting her nails done and using her favorite saying, "girl." Alani's love for the park and shopping at Target or Five & Below often led to convincing her mother to buy another toy. She was a girly-girl that enjoyed wearing her pink frilly dresses or tutus wherever she went.
Alani Bibiane Bichotte will be remembered for her joyful spirit and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and happiness will continue to resonate with her family and friends forever.
