Alice Patricia “Pat” Krajewski, 72, of Charlotte, died Tuesday January 12, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Davidson County, NC, she was the daughter of George Reid Snider and Margaret Edwards Snider. She was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School and lifelong resident of Charlotte. Pat worked her way from secretary to vice president of a premium finance company over a 47 year career. The company was bought and sold several times over the course of her career. She was a member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, and was an exceptional role model of faith to her family. Her life centered on her faith, her husband, and her family. She loved her husband Frank with all her heart. Pat lovingly cared for her mother and then her husband when they became ill, sacrificing much to ease their burden. She enjoyed the company of dogs throughout her life, especially Boston Terriers named Blackie. She adored each of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them whether it was watching them dance, play sports, shopping, getting their nails done, or watching a Hallmark movie or the Panthers. She was an avid Tar Heel fan until one of her grandchildren started at Clemson.
Pat is survived by her son, Frank Krajewski and wife Jackie of Matthews; her daughter Missy Wright and husband, Jim, of Matthews; five grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth, Kate, Joseph, and Sarah; her brothers Larry Snider, wife Debbie; Lonnie Snider, wife Sylvia; Richard Snider, wife Bonnie; sister Jean Franklin, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend Henrietta Howey. The family would like to thank Dr. Peter Copsis, his nurse Cheryl, and all of their wonderful staff for the constant care and love that they provided our mother and father throughout their lives.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, January 15th at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd., with Fr. Frank O’Rourke, celebrant. Interment will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Road, followed by a luncheon for all at St. Gabriel. The family will receive friends at Saint Gabriel from 7:00PM to 8:30PM Thursday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Supportive Housing Communities (formerly McCreesh Place), 2120 N. Davidson St. Charlotte, NC 28205, or Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Benevolent Fund, 601 E. Trade St. Charlotte, NC 28202.
