Alice Andrée Simms

May 5, 1924 – May 31, 2016

Lexington – Mrs. Alice Simms passed away May 31, 2016 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living of Lexington NC. Alice was born on May 5, 1924 in Villefranche-sur-Mer, France to the late Marino and Thérèse Magroni. Alice lived in both France and Italy until she was married on April 25, 1955, after which she began her life with her husband in the United States. She was a longtime member of Prosperity Presbyterian Church and especially enjoyed fellowship with her good friends in the weekly Bible Study group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Simms, and her sister, Renée Ellis. Surviving are her sister, Janine Chiappe, her daughters, Dede (Donnie) Kesler, and Karen (Tom) Logan, and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Prosperity Presbyterian Church, (new entrance located on Craven Thomas Road between Benfield Road and Prosperity Church Road) Charlotte, NC.
