Allan Dohn Davis was born October 3, 1938 to John Willis and Maggie Pigford Davis in Carthage, North Carolina. He graduated from Carthage High School in 1956, from Wingate College (two years at the time) in 1958.
In 1960, he married high school classmate, Anjalette Kelly. They had 59 wonderful years of work, traveling and family (two children) Martha Anjalette and Michael Allan.
Dohn worked in the dairy and food industries for 40 years having achieved various positions. He worked as a sales representative with PYA and Gilbert foods. He was quite the achiever in sales.
When he and Anjalette retired, they traveled the United States and Canada by car, plane and ship. And, of course, there were the four grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Kyndal and Craig who were the apples of his eyes.
Dohn taught Sunday school, served as a deacon and in other positions for 58 years in various churches, having moved 11 times. He loved teaching, witnessing for the Lord and people wherever home was at the time. He always found golf courses in his travels and truly loved the game. He loved his Lord, family and life. He and Anjalette (Angie) loved meeting up with school and college friends.
Surviving Dohn are his wife Anjalette (Angie) Kelly Davis, children Martha (Mike) Wilkie and Michael (Bari) Davis; grandchildren Austin (Megan) Davis, Kyndal Davis, Jacob Wilkie and Craig Wilkie, and one sister Dianne Davis.
