Allen Craig Grover

Allen was born in New York City and was the son of the late David and Ingred Grover. He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Electrical Engineering and received his Masters Degree from Duke University. Mr. Grover served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era and was a Captain.

Allen had a career in engineering with IBM and retired after 31 years as a Lead Project Supervisor. He was also an active member of Cross and Crown Lutheran Church.

Mr. Grover met the love of his life, Ann, while he was based in Warner Robbins, Georgia. He was a devoted husband as well as a wonderful father to Thomas Michael and wife, Michelle Marie. Allen had a passion for antique phonographs and was a member of the Carolina Antique Music Phonograph Society.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Michael Grover (Michelle Marie), and his brother, Douglas Grover (Katherine). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann and brother, Richard Lee Grover.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, from 1:30 to 2:45 pm, with a service following at 3:00 pm at Harry and Bryant Funeral Home, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28207.

Memorials may be given in honor of Allen to Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 300 Pineville-Matthews Road, Matthews, NC 28105.
