Amanda "Mandy" O'Briant Tucker, 57, passed away at home on Sunday, April 13th 2014.

She was born January 30, 1957 in New Bern, NC, the daughter of the late Paul Linwood O'Briant, Jr. and Amanda Wall O'Briant, moved to Charlotte at age five. She graduated from South Meck High School, attended Guilford College and graduated from CPCC.

She was a long-time member of Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church and an avid reader. She liked to travel, especially to Ireland. She spent her career working at Carolina Controls Company and Hawthorne Management.

A loving wife and mother and a special sister, she is survived by her husband, Andrew Tucker and daughter, Meredith Tucker, of Charlotte; brother, Josh O'Briant, and sister-in-law, Tracy of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law Sandra Franks and brother-in-law Bob of Goldsboro, NC; niece Erin Smith and husband Michael of Pikeville, NC; nephew, Shawn Franks, of Fremont, CA; father-in-law, Leon Tucker and his wife, Joyce, of Charlotte; aunt, Nancy Glenn, of Tabor City, NC and extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at McEwen Funeral Home - Pineville, Friday, April 18th at 11 a.m.
