He is survived by his mother, Terry Sullivan Taylor; father, James Franklin Harkey, Jr. (Elaine); his adoptive father, Thomas Edward Dill, MD (Karen); brothers, Scott Taylor Dill, Sr. (Amy) and Thomas Edward Dill, Jr.; and his friend and former wife, Diana Skeens.
Drew led a full life. He was an actor, writer, photographer, fisherman, hunter, and world traveler. He founded and managed a successful window cleaning company. He drew sustenance from being in nature and found wonder in the rare and in the ordinary.
His spiritual nature was marked by compassion and kindness. He quietly helped friends in distress and adversity. Service to others was part of his life; he had 33 years of sobriety, during which time he shared his experience, strength, and hope with countless individuals. Steadfast mentor, loyal friend, playful relative, patient listener: Drew brought qualities of heart and mind to what he did and said.
He was uncle to Taylor Dill, Austin Dill, and Sullivan Dill and nephew to Tonda Taylor and Janice Coulter, Andrew Taylor, Jr. (Susan Lupo, MD), Joanne Hutcheson, and Nancy Ducharme.
He is also survived by his cousins, Andrew Taylor, III, Robin Belk, Paul Hutcheson, Joe Hutcheson, and John Ducharme as well as by close friends, Ranjit Deora, John Ager, Keith Kozar, and Eddie DeRhodes. Loyal employees, Bilo, Migue, and Walter, were like family to him.
Drew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew Taylor, MD and Anne Taylor; James Harkey and Kathleen Harkey; and Virginia Dill; an uncle, Samuel Taylor; and stepfather, Jack Taylor, MD.
