Andrew was born on January 31, 1985 to Mike and Betsy Settevendemio in Plattsburgh, NY. He graduated from Peru High School in 2004.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Erin Bradshaw Settevendemio; his children, Cecilia (5) and Evie (4); his parents, Betsy and Mike; brother, Joel; and many others he called family.
Andrew met his wife, Erin [Bradshaw] Settevendemio during their senior year of high school and the pair married in 2011. During the early years of their relationship and marriage, Andrew and Erin lived across the country in southern Nevada, Florida, and Montana, and eventually settled in Charlotte in 2014.
Andrew became a dad to Cecilia in 2018 and never looked back. Fatherhood was what Andrew was made for, and after Evie was born in 2020, he left his position as a pest control technician to care for both his daughters. He loved to take the girls on adventures to local parks, libraries, playgrounds, and farms, and he was always up for a game of pirates. On the weekends, you’d be hard pressed not to find Andrew smoking or grilling some wings or ribs to share with family, friends, and neighbors. If he wasn’t grilling out, he was probably suggesting a meet up at a local brewery to try out their latest release.
Andrew was incredibly kind, compassionate, and eager to help anyone in need. He was a great listener and amazing friend who always had a funny story to share and a new song he loved that that you just HAD to listen to (whether or not the song was actually good was still up for debate).
In a last show of his giving nature, Andrew was able to touch the lives of others by donating his organs so they may have more time with their loved ones when he could not. He was the embodiment of kindness and generosity… in a Hawaiian shirt and bucket hat.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in support of the family at GoFundMe or to the Dear Jack Foundation, an organization Andrew strongly believed in.
