Andris and I worked together at First Union back in the 1980's. There was a side to Andris that not many saw. I'm fortunate he allowed me to see that side of him. I thoroughly enjoyed his wit, humor and dedication.

I enjoyed working with Andris at the bank. He and I shared an interest in trains. My thoughts are with your family.

I am sorry for your loss. May the God of comfort bring you peace in this time of need. “Trust in him at all times, O people. Before him pour out your heart. God is a refuge for us.”
Psalm 62:8

I attended Bethune elementary school with Andris and he lived in my neighborhood on Poplar street. The thing that I remember about him that we was quiet and unassuming. Also he had a dog that was over friendly. When I visited his house, his dog started barking at me and he told me that the dog would not bite. However, the dog took a chunk out of my leg. His family apologized profusely. After elementary school, I lost track of Andris apparently because we had a different set of friends at Central. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.

I knew Andris for many years when we worked together at the bank. He was so kind and patient with me when I first started there and taught me so very much. He would always take the time to explain things and help out when I would get in a pinch. Like Terry I am a much better person for having known him. He was such a great guy and had such a great sense of humor. He will be missed. You have my deepest sympathy at having lost such a wonderful person in your life.

I had enjoyed working with Andris years ago at the bank. He was brilliant and a real character to work with. We knew we could always count on Andris, and have missed him since his retirement. May all peace and blessings be with all.
