Mrs. Ann Alexander Alexander Moody

Ann Alexander Moody, 84 of Rock Hill, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died March 11, 2015 at CMC-Pineville. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel Hannon Alexander. Ann graduated from Berryhill High School, Class of 1949 where she played on the basketball team. In 1951 she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Carson Moody, who preceded her in death on July 7, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her eldest son, Joseph Carson Moody, Jr. on February 6, 1990.

Ann loved her church and her church family. She was active in the Women of the Church, Circle #2 and received the Women’s Life Membership Award. Ann was also involved in the creation of bereavement team ministry of the church.

Ann is survived by one daughter, Marian Hines of the home, one son, David Moody and wife Donna of Belmont, NC. She had two granddaughters, Karsen and Allison Moody who were her pride and joy. Other survivors include two sisters, Pat Demmy of Monroe, NC, her twin sister Rue Knox of Tucson, AZ and Kernersville, NC, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Pete and Ruth Griffith of Charlotte, NC and sister-in-law Betz Alexander of Mt. Joy, PA. She is also survived by a special niece, Jerri Padgett of Rehoboth Beach, DE.

A celebration of her life will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church on Sunday, March15, 2015 at 3:30PM. Visitation will be before the service from 2:30-3:30PM. The Reverend Dr. Jeff Pinkston will officiate with internment to follow in the church cemetery.
